Knowing the area, community, neighborhood, crime statistics, schools, etc. is important information you should know before purchasing your home. In the first year of obtaining my Real Estate License, I earned my GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation, which many equate to a Bachelors in Real Estate. Within the next two years I earned my CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) Designation which many equate to a Masters in Real Estate.
