Sorrel, a Florida native that grew up on a ranch with lots of horses, has loved living in the Upstate with her family since 2002. Sorrel and her family live in the Clemson area and her husband works for Clemson University as a Software System Architect. She is involved in the Clemson Chamber of Commerce and is a previous Board member. In 2007, Sorrel was the Small Business Person of the Year for the Chamber. She was also the Chairperson for the Chamber's Ambassador program which had over 100 active Ambassadors. In 2007, she was in Leadership Clemson that teaches community leaders how a community is run efficiently. Her class project involved helping a child abuse/neglect home, Helping Hands of Clemson, and they were able to raise over $15,000.

In 2009, Sorrel was accepted into Furman University's leadership group called, "Connections: Women Leaders of the Upstate." The program is designed to empower women become more effective leaders and how to tackle challenges faced by women in business.

She was on the Board of Directors for ReWiGo, which is a local charity that helps others in need by repairing people's homes who can't afford to fix it or they don't have the ability to repair themselves.

She loves to volunteer for all kinds of community events and for her children's school. Helping others is her passion.

She is currently the Broker-in-Charge of the 1st Choice Realty office in Clemson and loves helping families find their perfect home.
