As a small child that grew up in the Atlanta area, Katie Edwards would spend hours poring over house plans, studying architecture and design in her fathers home office. What started as a childhood pastime transitioned into a love of remodeling homes with good bones and of real estate in general. She especially enjoys walking into a structure and creating a vision for what could be. She has seen firsthand how every home has potential and just needs some vision to bring it back to life.
Katie joined Toles, Temple & Wright, Inc. as a REALTOR in July 2017. She loves helping her clients find that vision for their next home whether it is in turnkey condition or in need of a complete remodeling. She truly enjoys it all, no matter where the property may be on the spectrum.
In addition to architecture and design, her love for the city of Rome also began at an early age. In 1992, Katie came to the area for the first time to attend summer camp and immediately fell in love with Berry College. Rome has held a special piece of her heart ever since. Following that experience, she made up her mind that she would one day become a Viking alumna.
Her dream came true in 2006 when she graduated from Berry College with her Bachelor of Arts degree in early childhood education. As she has grown as an adult in Rome and Floyd County, so has Katies deep appreciation for all the things that make the community an incredible place to call home.
Having grown up as part of the Chick-fil-A and WinShape Foundation communities, with many years of service to both organizations, her strong ties have given her a passion for people and service to the community that goes the extra mile. Outside of but closely related to her work in local real estate, Katie and her husband own Dogwood Restoration.
In her free time, she is an avid half marathoner and enjoys running on the many trails that the area has to offer. Katie also loves attending the many cultural and community events that take place in Rome, and getting away to the city to cheer on the Atlanta United FC. She and her family reside in the College Heights Historic District of Rome in their circa 1935 home.
