Camilla is a small town located in southwestern Georgia, United States. It is the county seat of Mitchell County and is situated about 30 miles east of Albany. The town has a population of around 5,000 people and covers an area of about 6.3 square miles.
Camilla has a rich history, being founded in the early 1850s as a stop on the Central of Georgia railroad line. The town grew rapidly and became a major center for cotton production in the region. Today, agriculture and manufacturing are the main industries in Camilla.
