Temple, Georgia is a small town with a population of approximately 4,250 people. It was incorporated in 1909 and is located about 50 miles west of Atlanta. The town was named after a railroad surveyor's hometown in Texas. Temple is known for its historic buildings and architecture, including the Old Temple High School and the Zion Methodist Church. The town hosts several annual events, such as the Temple Fall Festival and Christmas Parade.
