A fun and verifiable fact about Springfield, Georgia is that it is home to the Mars Theatre, which was originally built in 1945 and served as a popular movie theater for several decades before closing in the early 2000s. However, thanks to a restoration project that began in 2012, the theatre has been reopened and now hosts regular movie screenings, live performances, and community events.
