My love affair with the Hawaiian Islands began in the summer of 1963 when my family planned our dream vacation.We spent three months camping on the beaches of Oahu, Maui, Hawaii, and Kauai.I grew up in a tight- knit family that enjoyed the beautiful beaches of southern California. With a Dad that bodysurfed and a brother that surfed, the ocean soon became part of my world.
I graduated from University of California, San Diego in 1973 with a BA in Comparative Literature. My studies also included being a member of the womens volleyball team. I entered San Diego State University the following year and received my teaching credential.
With a desire to purchase San Diego beach property, I decided getting my California real estate license would be of great value. Thus, in 1977, my real estate career was launched. I focused on residential real estate in Ocean Beach and Point Loma. The flexibility of a real estate career allowed me the time to raise my family. I was able to be my son and daughters soccer coach. My children werent the only ones racing around a soccer field, as I cherished the time I spent playing on my womans soccer team.
In 1985, my real estate expertise took me to the historical Hotel Palmilla in Los Cabos, Mexico. I was in charge of the development of the residential expansion of the hotel.
One of the most important positions Ive ever held was that of being a CASA, a Court Appointed Special Advocate. As a CASA, I was an advocate for children in foster care. I spent quality time with these children giving them a sense of stability. It was a most rewarding experience.
With my children off to college, it was now time for me to fulfill my dream and move to Maui. As a Maui Realtor, I can help others fulfill their dreams of living in paradise.
One of my greatest joys is meeting new people and helping them find their perfect home. Many of my clients have become close friends. I take great care in educating my clients, so they are well informed from the beginning of a transaction to the successful close. I have sold properties throughout the island. My areas of expertise are Wailea, Kapalua, and Kula. You can count on my knowledge of the changing market, the best values, and overall island tips.
