I am a Native of Hawai'i. I represent Sellers and Buyers. Majority of my real estate experiences come from being a resident of the Island of O'ahu. In 2015, my husband and I made a conscientious decision to move to the Island of Hawaii. With both of us working from home since 1995, our first home choice in 2015 was in The Villages at Mauna Lani--a private, gated, resort subdivision. In 2016 we bought 3.5 acres in The Meadows of Kohala Ranch-a private, gated equestrian & free grazing cattle ranch...thinking we would build our forever home there. In 2018 we decided to return to independent living...as we knew very well when living on O' ahu. In our years of experience in buying and selling real estate, we honestly believe that when you stumble upon a "genuine find" it is meant to be. We found our forever home in Waimea (aka Kamuela). A place I have known well from the summer visits with my parents to the Big Island. I vividly remember the highway running through Waimea town was beautifully lined with hydrangea...that I referred to as "snowballs" in white, purple, and blue. And, when we saw the children walking along the road ...they all had pink rosy cheeks. For the most part Waimea hitching posts that sometimes had horses tied up to them. We saw a lot of paniolo (the Hawaiian cowboy), boo-koo cows as well as horses. To this day, I refuse to call Waimea "Kamuela". The reason for change is there are three Waimea in the State of Hawaii--on Oahu, Kauai, and Hawaii Island. The USPS filed for the name change and named it after Samuel Parker also known as Kamuela Parker--a major landowner and businessman on the Island of Hawaii...the heir to Parker Ranch. Note: Samuel in the Hawaiian language is Kamuela. Many of the long-time residents of this quaint town still refer to it as Waimea. It is the last frontier for ranching cows and horses in today's modern society.

When we O'ahu-ans move to the Big Island...for most we all agree...we finally can own some decent land. As land area has become more and more scarce for residential enjoyment, one is fortunate today to secure 5,000sf of land under roof.

My husband and I have been very fortunate to find this property we call home to ourselves and our Ohana (family) in Waimea. We align with Mauna Kea who graces us with the beauty of snow on her peaks and the cool, crisp, winter air that embraces us for a good night's rest.

A child of the sea and the mountains of O'ahu, the pasture lands and the residential acreage have become our playground with three dogs (a Beagle and two German Shepherds), a mare we named "Lady", as well as growing our own fruits and vegetables , as well as a cow for sustenance to be shared with family and friends.

Parents of three children (two girls and a boy), we now have 11 grandchildren (seven boys and four girls). Our mo'opuna (grandchidlren) range in age from new born to 22....all of whom call Waimea "home".

Needless to say, we have been blessed and are very grateful for our abundance. As we meet new people who seek to make the move to the Island of Hawaii "home"...please feel free to ask whatever questions you may have....if we can answer them we will as best we can. We've made many new relationships since moving here. And, we have learned much from those who are native to Hawaii Island. It is through their Aloha, sharing of their upbringing and experiences that have touched our hearts. I hope to be able to do the same with each of you.
