Aurelia is a small village in Cherokee County, Iowa with a population of around 1,000 people. It was founded in 1873 along the Illinois Central Railroad and named after the daughter of a railroad financier. Aurelia is known for its annual "Old Time Country Fourth" celebration, which includes a parade, carnival, and fireworks show.
