Don grew up around Real Estate. His father was the Broker-Owner of Lint Realty, a successful real estate company, in Southern California until he succumbed to heart disease. Don's brother is a Real Estate Appraiser in California.
Don made his first real estate purchase (20 acres) in California while still in High School. A couple years later he used the equity in the land to buy his first income property. Shortly after finishing school, he sold his property in California and headed to Montana.
It wasnt long before Don got his Montana Real Estate License and helped people relocate by providing both real estate and moving/storage services in Bozeman. Don received his Brokers License and opened his own office in 1982. He continued working in the Transportation and Real Estate fields until 2001 when he decided to close his office and join CENTURY 21 Summit Realty where he soon became one of the top producing agents in the office.
Dedicated to his career, and focused on improving his knowledge and skills, Don has achieved several professional designations, including Realtor, Broker, CRS, GRI, ABR, and more. In 2005 Don was the top producing Century 21 agent in the state of Montana, and consistently ranks among the top producing Century 21 agents in the state.
The real estate market changed in 2006, and the slow down took its toll on many real estate offices. Although Dons volume remained strong, during 2010, Century 21 Summit Realty was forced to close. At that time, Don joined the team of professionals at Realty Executives of Gallatin Valley.
As an experienced Broker, Don is familiar with many different types of financing. In addition to residential real estate, Don is well versed in investment real estate, and can show how the numbers will work. Being very solution oriented, he uses his knowledge, both residential and commercial, experience, and his creativity to often find ways to put deals together others can/wont. Don always puts his clients interests above all others, even his own. He is skilled at listening for feelings, not just the statistics, so he can help you achieve your real estate goals better than most.
Don and his wife Chris have two daughters and one granddaughter. The family enjoys floating Montana rivers, volleyball, golf, football, travel, or spending time with friends and a nice glass of wine.
As time permits, Don likes to volunteer, having helped with MSU Bobcat Booster club, Museum of the Rockies, Special Olympics Montana, and Mountain One Volleyball Club, and sits on the board of several Home Owners Associations.
