I grew up in the small town of Monticello IL and had an upbringing focused on a good work ethic, a common theme in many small midwest towns. From working in the corn fields as a child to later becoming a full-time roofer, construction worker, and later a ''technology specialist"... I bring a lot of different perspectives to the real estate world. Starting my real estate career in 2007, I focused on learning the business from a long time veteran of the business, Jim Cleveland, and through various classes and professional designations, I have learned from some of the top agents around the country. Real estate is a constantly changing business and I pride myself on keeping up with the latest technology and industry trends.
When I'm not helping clients buy or sell real estate, I love spending time with my lovely wife Emily, precious son Joe, and my cuddly Black Lab, Daisy. I love spending time outdoors, whether it be soaking up some sun in a Kayak on Lake Decatur or hiking through the woods with nothing but my thoughts. I love helping people in general and my thoughts have always been that if I help enough people achieve what they want in my professional life, then the more enjoyment I will have in my personal life!
