Delavan is a small village in Tazewell County that has a population of around 1,660 people. The village was founded in the early 1800s and was originally a farming community. Today, it still retains some of its agricultural roots, but has become more focused on manufacturing and retail industries. Delavan hosts an annual Fall Festival which includes a parade, live music, and carnival rides. The village also boasts several parks, including Schwab Park and Lake Park, which offer recreational activities such as fishing and boating.
