She believes clients are like friends and family. Because of Venetia's personal touch she often maintains strong relationships with her clients long after their transaction. As a result, she has been able to build much of her business on referrals. Venetia spent 14 years working for the law firm, Kirkland and Ellis before making the transition to real estate. She had purchased her first residential property and found the process interesting. Knowing she wanted to learn more, she earned her license and joined the Coldwell Banker team. Since joining, she has worked with a variety of buyers and sellers, including luxury properties, first-time homebuyers, income properties, new construction and relocation. A lifelong Chicagoan, Venetia Johnson knows the city inside and out. She was born and raised on the South side of Chicago but has lived on both the North and West sides as well. Venetia has worked all over Chicagoland, but specializes in her own neighborhood, Bronzeville, as well as Kenwood, Hyde Park, Chatham, West Chesterfield, Edgewater, Lincoln Park, Margate Park, South Loop, West Loop and South Shore. Outside of the real estate world, she is an avid volunteer in a mentoring program for Perspectives Charter Schools and extends her service to homeless outreach. In addition, she is an active member of the Hyde Park Chamber of Commerce and Hope's Table of The First United Methodists Church - Chicago Temple Homeless ministry.
