Most of my professional life has been in the area of Service. It is with this in mind that I became a Realtor and a Seniors Real Estate Specialist in 2000.
Previously I had volunteered in various nursing homes, and retirement communities - organizing volunteers and parties to make the residents lives more enjoyable and meaningful.
It has been my pleasure to be a supporter of our veterans and our military and their families. In 1992, I had the honor of working with a representative of our local American Legion and one from our Tri-State Vietnam Veterans Organization. Together we organized a fundraiser and were able to purchase a van from the Disabled American Veterans which took our area veterans to the VA Hospital in Iowa City. This service continues today - with the volunteer drivers this van goes to the Iowa City VA hospital 5 days a week.
I consider my role as a Realtor as a SERVICE to many wonderful people who have put their trust in me. I don't look at is at "what can I get from it" but rather how I can help my client reach their goal in finding the right home.
Each time anyone reaches out and asks me to be their REALTOR I feel very HONORED.
