'Making a sound investment is always on the minds of my clients. Thats why I explain the many factors that can affect both the value to the purchase itself, and the resale value. Its also important to be comfortable in your new surroundings and truly enjoy the home you will be living in. Sometimes it can be a tradeoff between the two, so I strive to keep my clients informed with living quality and investment in mind.' Brett began his career in Real Estate in the summer of 2002 when he purchased his first condo in Chicagos South Loop. Enthralled with the search and purchase process, he obtained his sales license initially for personal investment reasons and expanded his portfolio by purchasing his first multi-unit investment property. He also quickly established a large client base and began to assist a number of buyers. Bretts success in real estate sales on a part-time basis encouraged him to leave his corporate, financial career and pursue a full-time career as a Realtor and Real Estate Investor. Since obtaining his Real Estate License in 2003, Brett has assisted in the purchase and sale of over 100 properties with a total value over $70 million. He received the Top Producer award in Illinois in 2013, 2012 and 2009, which acknowledges the top 10% of all Realtors for sales volume. Brett has applied his significant work experience and education in Finance to the real estate world by keeping his clients constantly informed of the latest trends in local market conditions. 'Whether you are a home buyer or seller, the greatest asset you can have is information on the current market. Thats why I strive to arm my clients with as much information on neighborhood trends, recent sales statistics, home condition, sale factors, resale factors and seasonal trends. All of my clients receive a quarterly market update specific to Chicago. I also provide information on any neighborhood, building, property type or suburb upon request, free of charge. I dont stop serving my clients upon the sale or purchase of a home; rather, I continually keep them informed so they can make timely investment decisions.' Before beginning his career as a Realtor, Brett was the Domestic Pricing Manager at United Airlines. His 16-member teams responsibilities included pricing all flights within the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and U.S. Virgin Islands. While at United, he gained a greater understanding of how supply and demand factors significantly affect pricing, regardless if you are selling a service, product or a combination of both. He has taken that experience and applied it to residential real estate, keeping an eye on market and neighborhood trends as well as the current inventory of unsold homes and average days on the market for current listings, all of which have a significant effect on pricing and negotiations in a real estate transaction. Brett graduated Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame in 2000, majoring in Finance. His Finance background has provided a greater understanding of the financial conditions and trends of the real estate marketplace as well as the complex myriad of mortgage options that his clients face. He explains many of those programs as well as the tax benefits of owning a home vs. renting. In addition he explains depreciation benefits in owning investment properties and multi-unit housing. Brett specializes in helping his clients buy and sell condos, single family homes and multi-units in the city of Chicago.
