Born and raised in Jefferson County, IL, I have rediscovered "home" since returning to Mt. Vernon in 2007. Spending 17 years in California (8 years in San Francisco and 9 years in San Diego) provided me with training and education from my careers in investment banking, personal business management and interior design that translates in so many ways to local real estate. The intensity of investment banking taught me the importance of focus and agility while navigating multiple transactions and different personalities. Personal management was less intense but demanded self motivation and flexibility. And interior design was exciting, creative and customer service centric.
Within my first four years of selling real estate in Jefferson County, Illinois my success elevated me into second place in overall annual sales in Jefferson County. This placed me ahead of many senior Managing Brokers who have been selling real estate for years and has continued for the last five years. Yes, first place would be a great achievement but anyone who is informed about local real estate will understand that I remain proud of my success and respectful of the one who leads the pack.
