I've been in one form of Real Estate or another as soon as I left college. And my first taste of a Realtors life was watching my Mom serve her clients as a Realtor in St. Charles, my hometown, while I was growing up.
My real estate career started in residential property management in the Schaumburg and then Aurora areas. From there I made the leap to new home sales and sold new homes in the Shorewood, Ottawa, Aurora, Oswego and Elgin areas. I even met and married my husband in 2005 while working for a home builder (he is a Superintendent) so life at our house revolved around the new construction industry. Like many when the recession hit, my husband and I were forced to make hard decisions and changes in our lives. This led us to the far northern part of Kentucky where I went back into property management until housing recovered.
A job offer for my husband with a national home builder brought us back to Illinois. I saw a thriving market beginning and went back into real estate, only this time on the existing end. I am a big believer in everything happening for a reason and I truly believe all the changes and struggles we went through led me to where I am today; and I couldn't be happier.
I love my job, I love helping buyers AND sellers. I love educating about the process.
