Shawna May, Lead Realtor of The May Team - I Home Real Estate, has provided Buyers, Sellers, Landlords, and Tenants with exceptional service in the Western Suburbs of Chicago for the past 12 years. Shawna believes a home is more than four walls and a roof. It's a refuge representing peace, comfort, and safety for the whole family. Owning a home is a personal decision that involves a significant financial investment. Therefore, she treats each client as though the transaction were her own.
Shawna has persevered through the ups and downs of the Real Estate market for over a decade. From short sales and foreclosures, helping investors buy, flip, and rent, to seller's markets and bidding wars; she's a Realtor who has experienced it all.
As one of the few Certified Divorce Specialists (CDS) in the Chicagoland area, Shawna serves as a neutral third party helping divorcing couples distribute their Real Estate assets to equitably benefit both parties. Shes also a member of the National Association of Divorce Professionals (NADP) and trained to understand the legal, financial, mental health, and Real Estate implications of the divorce process.
Before Creating The May Team, Shawna worked for a prominent marketing and advertising agency, where she gained invaluable experience promoting products and services. She has used her considerable marketing and sales expertise to become a premier Realtor in her region.
She has also worked at two well-known brokers before moving on to a Boutique Brokerage because she realized that Real Estate is more than a corporate name. Selling homes is an art that experientially evolves from industry education, innovative ideas, and participating in meaningful community events.
