Gardner is a small village located in Grundy County in the state of Illinois. It is home to the Gardner Historic District, which was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1985. The district includes 129 contributing buildings, many of which were built between 1870 and 1930. The village is also the site of the Gardner House Museum, a restored mid-19th century Victorian home that now serves as a museum and cultural center. Gardner hosts an annual celebration called "Old Fashioned Day" in the summer, which includes a parade, Masonic Lodge pancake breakfast, and other festivities.
