In late 2021, Bernice Helman began her position as Regional Vice President with Coldwell Banker Real Estate Group working with offices in Indiana and Michigan.
Bernice has been a Realtor since 2008 and worked in the Real Estate Finance Industry for 20 years. She holds the designation of Certified Residential Mortgage Professional (CRMP), as well as Foreclosure & Short Sale Resource (FSR).
In 2013, Bernice was presented with the Good Neighbor Award from the National Association of REALTORS for her work with the United Way of the Wabash Valley.
She was also named as the Hero of the Year by Coldwell Banker in 2013 and presented the award to the 2014 recipient at the GenBlue conference in Los Angeles, CA.
She formerly served as the state secretary/treasurer of the Indiana Mortgage Bankers Association and was a member of the Freddie Mac's Community Lenders National Advisory Board. In addition, Bernice was presented with the 2006 Affiliate Member of the Year award by the Terre Haute Association of Realtors. She earned a First Financial Bank's President Award in 2007 and was Awarded the Richard D. Newport Award for the United Way of the Wabash Valley in February 2010. She is a graduate of Ohio Valley University.
Bernice is also active in the Community. Currently, she serves on:-United Way of the Wabash Valley, Board of Directors, Vanguard Committee, Campaign Cabinet-Harsha Behavior Center and Savera Geriatric Care Center, Board of Directors-Terre Haute Area Association of Realtors, Board of Directors-Greater Terre Haute Home Builders Association, Member-St Mary of the Woods College Leadership Advisory Council-2011 United Way of the Wabash Valley Campaign ChairPersonally, Bernice and Troy have four children: Craig, Sarah, Ryan, and Abbe. Bernice is an accomplished vocalist and has performed in such venues as the Terre Haute Symphony Orchestra.
