Lake County is located in the northwest corner of the great state of Indiana, bordering Lake Michigan and the state of Illinois. Fun Fact: Lake County is home to the first ever professional baseball game, played on May 4, 1871, in Hobart, Indiana. It was a game between the Forest Citys of Cleveland and the Kekionga of Fort Wayne that took place in the nearby town of Hobart, where Cleveland defeated Fort Wayne 4-2.
