Galveston is a small village in Cass County, Indiana with a population of around 1,000. It was founded in 1844 and was named after the city of Galveston, Texas. Galveston is a predominantly agricultural area with corn and soybean crops being the most common. The village has a few small businesses, including a gas station, post office, and a few restaurants. There are also several parks within the village, including the Galveston Park, which features a playground and picnic areas. The community holds an annual fair in August which attracts people from surrounding areas.
