Monon, Indiana is a small village located in White County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was just over 1,700 people. The village is located just off US Highway 421 and is about 20 miles north of the city of Lafayette, Indiana. Monon is known for its railroad history, with the Monon Railroad passing through the village in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Today, Monon is primarily a residential community and is home to a few small businesses, including grocery stores and restaurants. It also has a park with walking trails and a playground.
