I have been in the real estate and housing business in one way or another since 1980. In college I started managing small apartment complexes to get free rent. After I graduated and moved back to Louisville, I continued working at various apartment communities and eventually worked my way up to manager where I worked in a variety of places in Louisville and Southern Indiana.
After that, I tried my hand at real estate investing. I started with a couple of 4-plexes and then accumulated 17 single family rental houses over the course of 10-12 years. Managing these and intermittently flipping another dozen or so houses kept me very busy while I continued to raise 3 children. I enjoyed this very much and felt I was successfully making money, having fun, being my own boss and providing quality housing to people.
All this time I was also very active in the local real estate investing clubKREIAKentucky real estate investors association. In this too I worked my way up to the top eventually becoming president after doing everything in between. Then the economy tanked and with my experience and passion for real estate, I decided to change courses slightly and get my real estate license. I settled in with Weichert/ABG Properties because they are committed to education and there are plenty of people to help me do the job right.
Now I am committed to being the best real estate agent possible, whether helping a buyer or a seller. I absolutely love this business and cant wait to succeed with helping my clients with their housing needs.
