Junction City is a small village in Boyle County, Kentucky with a population of approximately 2,000 people. It is situated on the banks of the Chaplin River and was originally established as a railroad junction in the 1860s. There are several historic sites in the village, including the Old Presbyterian Church and Cemetery and the Bate School, which was named after William Sylvester Bate, a former governor of Tennessee.
