Eric LaMay has lived and worked in the Fort Worth/Dallas area his entire life. He was raised by a single mother that worked three jobs to keep a roof over his and his two brothers heads. When Eric was fifteen, his mother remarried the love of her life, whom also had three boys.
Money was often in short supply, so Eric started making his own way early. At nine years old, he made macram plant holders and sold them to neighbors. At fourteen, he got a job with Haltom City cleaning the city parks. When he was sixteen, Eric convinced his mother to let him get a hardship drivers license so he could go to work and school. Following his mother's example, Eric finished high school while living in his own apartment and working three jobs.
Erics work ethic and desire to get the job done right got him quick promotions and management positions time and time again.
At twenty-two, Eric was managing a mens retail clothing store when he was recruited by a competing retail chain: Merry-Go-Round Enterprises. After thirteen months, Eric was promoted to Assistant District Supervisor and less than two years later, was promoted to District Manager. At that time, Eric was the youngest District Manager in the companys history. Eric went on to take over more districts, break sales records, decrease loss, improve productivity and promote others into managerial positions.
In 2004, Eric decided to make a career move into real estate. This was an obvious choice because everything he had done prepared him for it by teaching him accountability, work ethic, dedication, ability to see the big picture, strong teamwork skills, and most of all customer service! These are the tools that he uses every day in his real estate business.
In 2006, Eric founded The StarStateHomes Group and has continued to operate it under a few simple guidelines: 1) listen; 2) seek to understand 3) communicate; 4) client first; 5) never give-up; and 6) integrity above all. Eric understands that his client's success is his success. That giving anything less than 100% is not acceptable. These simple core principles are the bedrock to his teams success and growth. Today the StarStateHomes group appreciates an 87% client referral rate, numerous production awards, and a Five-Star client review ranking.
