My credentials and experience have made me a respected representative in the real estate community: I hold the following designations: Graduate, REALTOR Institute (G. R. I. ); Certified Resident Specialist (C. R. S. ), and an Accredited Buyer's Representative (A. B. R.). But beyond these accomplishments is something else that's harder to describe. I guess you'd call it love of the area; of the great promise and potential that lives within the halls of the schools; and the incredible ever-changing beauty of the land. This expansiveness is what I love most sharing with my clients.
Coming here from Michigan in 1963 with a B. A. and M. A. in History from Western Michigan University, I knew immediately this was where I was meant to set my roots, and for over 45 years, I have been unwavering. My daughter Abby and son Tom grew up here, in the country, in marvelously free surroundings that a city kid couldn't imagine.
My real estate career began when Mr. D. H. Jones, founder of the JONES GROUP REALTORS, asked me to work for him in 1979. JONES GROUP REALTORS has offices in Amherst, Northampton, and Belchertown, with over 60 agents, and is the largest independently owned real estate company in Western Massachusetts. I accepted Mr. Jones' offer and have never looked back. Real estate was right for me. I have used my knowledge of the greater Amherst community, my interest in the area's history, my genuine delight in meeting new people, and the expertise of JONES GROUP REALTORS to help me benefit many buyers and sellers over the years.
My love of the area has led me to energetically pursue a host of outside interests in the community. The arts are my passion; especially theater and I have performed with various theater groups in the greater Pioneer Valley for 30 years. I am an active member and past president of the Amherst Club, a community service club dedicated to fundraising for local charities. My continuous commitment to the arts prompted a stint as a member of the Board of Friends of Fine Arts at the University of Massachusetts.
This region of New England allows me to breathe deeply, take a step back and discover what really gives meaning to my life. If my expertise leads you to me, I am committed to finding you that home or piece of land that will truly make you happy, because that's what it's all about.
