Framingham, Massachusetts is a historic city located approximately 20 miles west of Boston. It was incorporated in 1700 and served as an important stop along the Boston Post Road, a major colonial highway. Framingham is known for being the location of the world-renowned Framingham Heart Study, a long-term study of the causes of heart disease.
