Born and raised in Arnold and a lifelong resident of Anne Arundel County, John loves helping people find their slice of Maryland living. His knowledge and passion for his hometown is what makes John Currence your local real estate expert. Growing up on the Chesapeake Bay sparked John s love for the water at an early age. Crabbing, fishing, and boating was at the center of he and his brothers lives growing up. After graduating from Broadneck High John knew that he wanted to work on the water, so in 2005 he enlisted in the US Navy. After honorably serving 4 years in the Navy, John continued his career at sea and earned his Merchant Marine Officers license. He has captained everything from supply vessels in the Gulf of Mexico to Military Support Vessels overseas to Tug Boats in New York Harbor. John has spent most of his adult career serving and leading people, at times in extremely stressful situations. His ability to lead with great care and compassion through what is one of the most stressful life events, buying or selling a home, makes John the right person for the job. John has moved on from a life at sea; he, his wife Rebecca and his daughter Riley live in Severna Park and couldnt be happier to call it their hometown. John is actively involved in his local church, he loves fishing, fixer-up home projects, hunting, and cooking. Hes a family man who can be counted on to do anything for a friend or family member at the drop of a hat. His passion and experience in home and marine construction is what makes him skilled and valuable in the real estate market.
