Experience
I have been a full-time, professional REALTOR since 1990 specializing in the sale and marketing of residential properties in the Baltimore/Washington metropolitan area. I have extensive experience in all forms of residential real estate, from resales of single family homes and condominiums, to land acquisition, planning and building your dream home, to buying "distressed" properties including HUD and VA Homes, foreclosures, bank-owned properties (REO's), short-sales, probate and investment properties. I enjoy working with both buyers and sellers alike - from the first-time home-buyer to the seasoned investor, as well as working with landlords and tenants.

Education
I earned a BA degree in Economics from Swarthmore College and I am a graduate of Loyola Blakefield in Towson. Education is one of the keystones of my success and I have worked to earn three of the real estate industry's most prestigious professional designations: Graduate of the REALTOR Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Certified Buyers Representative (CBR). Each of these designations are my assurance to you of competent, quality and professional real estate services beyond your expectations.

Personal Information
A native of Baltimore, I have resided in Columbia for the past thirty+ years. I came to real estate sales after a career with a national home builder where I was involved in production and corporate management. I began buying, renovating and selling property on my own and secured my real estate license to support my investment business. As this real estate business grew, I thought it prudent to get into the brokerage-side of the business full-time and I have not looked back since. While still being quite active in real estate investments, it is keeping an "eye" out for real estate opportunities for my clients, the sales and marketing of those and other properties that is my passion; and, I incorporate my "ground-up' knowledge of home-building, restoration, investment in and sales of residential real estate into my career.

Outside of real estate, I am quite fortunate to be happily married (30+ years) and the father of three awesome young adults. I serve on the Boards of two homeowners associations, volunteer my time with St. Francis of Assisi parish in Fulton, MD, am a sports enthusiast and enjoy watching lacrosse and college basketball.

Memberships
I am a member of numerous Realtor Boards, including:
The Greater Baltimore Board of REALTORS (GBBR)
The Greater Capitol Area Association of REALTORS (GCAAR)
The Maryland Association of REALTORS (MAR)
The National Association of REALTORS (NAR)
The Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council (REBAC)
Each one of these associations upholds a strict code of ethics and ensures that their members are current with the latest laws and legislation affecting the real estate industry and the general public.

Professional Philosophy
My goal in every transaction is to have everyone be satisfied. I begin the achievement of this goal by determining my clients expectations at the very onset of our first meeting or discussion. Then I promise to fulfill my client's goals and follow through on that promise. I have a different philosophy about practicing real estate and in representing Buyers and Sellers: I focus 110% of my efforts on delivering the most competent, time, money-saving and hassle-free service. This way, I am able to deliver such outstanding results that you will look forward to working with me again, and think of me when your friends and family need a caring and competent Realtor to represent them." For example, many agents utilize solely the Multiple Listing Service to "search" properties available in a particular marketplace. I do that and much more. I have other resources at my disposal that compliment the MLS and provide further options to my customers and clients, including lists of foreclosed properties, bank-owned (REO) properties, HUD and VA homes and a schlew of real estate Auction properties." My casual and laid-back style helps foster the open lines of communication which are essential to a smooth transaction thru settlement.

I welcome the opportunity to serve you and your real estate needs.
