Growing up in Maryland, Jonathan had the benefit of learning the industry from his mother, a 20 year veteran of real estate in Southern Maryland. Jonathan himself has been a leader in the real estate industry since 2007. He founded the SoMD Expert team in 2010 to change the way real estate is bought and sold by providing a unique concierge style service to his clients. He then went on to create The Benya Group in 2015 which compounded the client-centric focus with client education.
In 2014, Jonathan was inducted into the Southern Maryland Association of Realtor's Hall of Fame. Jonathan and his team are recognized year after year for their consistency of high performance and top production in the area. In addition to providing excellence to his clients, Jonathan spends his down time with his family, 3 rescue puppies, restoring antique sports cars, and supporting local animal rescue organizations.
