North Bethesda is an unincorporated community in Montgomery County located just north of Washington, D.C. It is a primarily residential area with a mix of townhouses, apartments, and single-family homes.
The area is also home to a number of businesses and organizations, including the headquarters of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the United States Public Health Service. Additionally, North Bethesda is a retail and entertainment destination with popular destinations like Pike & Rose and the Music Center at Strathmore.
The community is served by the Red Line of the Washington Metro, making transportation to Washington, D.C. and other areas of Maryland and Virginia convenient. North Bethesda also has several parks and recreational areas, including the 128-acre Cabin John Regional Park.
