Casey understands that people have busy lives, without time to focus on one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives like buying or selling real estate. Casey never actually set out to become a real estate agent despite a family history in real estate investment since the early 1900s. She first followed her heart into international health and development, getting a masters degree in epidemiology and working in international public health for years. But because of the immensity of the problem, she never felt that her individual contributions made much of an impact. At this point, her love of real estate finally bubbled up to the top she had grown up reading the real estate section of the paper since 10, talked about real estate at the dining room table as an adolescent, began to invest in real estate in her early 20s, and began guiding many of her friends through their own transactions. She finally saw the light in 2004 and became a licensed real estate agent in DC, MD and VA. She has never looked back!
Casey has lived in a historic four-square home in Cleveland Park (NW DC) since 2008 and owns several rental properties in DC. Before moving to Cleveland Park, she lived in Dupont/Logan and Foggy Bottom. She has extensive and varied experience in home renovation having designed 6 kitchens and gone through two major and one minor renovation!
Casey was born in northern California, grew up in Alexandria, VA and moved to DC in 1998. She married in 2001 to Richard and is a mom to two children, Simon and Wren. She has two brothers, two sisters-in-law, three nephews, one niece and an unofficial step-mom and -dad. She is the daughter of a Montessori school teacher and a retired Air Force and commercial pilot. All of her immediate family has used her as an agent!
