Talbot County is located in the Eastern Shore area of Maryland. According to the 2019 U.S. Census, Talbot County had a population of 37,782 people. The median household income was $69,928 and the median home value was $410,300. The racial makeup of the county was 80.3% White, 15.6% Black or African American, 0.5% Native American, 2.1% Asian, 0.2% Pacific Islander, and 1.3% from other races. The population was spread out with 23.5% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 22.8% from 25 to 44, 33.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 years of age or older.
