Snow Hill is a historic town located along the Pocomoke River on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It was founded in 1686 and served as the county seat of Worcester County since the late 18th century. Some notable landmarks in the town include the Julia A. Purnell Museum, a museum that houses artifacts and exhibits on the history of Snow Hill and Worcester County, and the Sturgis One Room School Museum, which is a restored one-room schoolhouse from the early 20th century. The town is also known for its charming historic homes and small businesses.
