Bennett Bricker is continually among the top sellers at Camden Real Estate. Hes hard working, upbeat, positive and has a great laugh. He's absolutely dogged when tracking down what his clients want, and he's never forgotten the high standards and attention to detail he learned in 15 plus years as a Certified real estate appraiser.

He knows market value, he knows the area, he knows construction, he knows to check town offices for property information and deed restrictions. But best of all, if you ask him what he thinks of the roof on that house you're thinking about, he'll tell you. "I think it's very important to be honest with clients, I mean truly honest in what your opinion is," that, he says, is giving real service. Clients are making major financial decisions in their lives and need all the facts to be
informed and sure of their choices.

"To me my goal is to find my client what they were looking for and have them be pleased with the whole experience... I'd much rather have clients decide not to purchase a property than buy something they're not happy with." The rewarding part to me is when I have clients, and I know what they're looking for, and I'm searching but there are no available listings, and then I find the perfect one.

When listing property, his 15 plus years of appraisal experience are extremely beneficial in determining the market value with the Seller. A good broker should have the knowledge and experience to know the factors that meld together in determining the value of a property and therefore its asking price. In our current real estate climate it is much more difficult and takes some skill to properly price a property correctly so that Buyers in the market will recognize that fact and
it will sell sooner than other competing properties.

Once the asking price is set and a realistic expectation of a selling price is determined the interesting part and the part that separates brokers is the ability to market and promote a property in a way that emphasizes the positive points and exhibits them to prospective buyers. Bennett has a BA in Journalism/Advertising from the University of Maine which comes in handy when marketing and promoting property. It is helpful to have my background in advertising when I am working with our marketing department to promote and advertise a property and trying to promote its sale. In addition he has a minor in Business Administration which is helpful for understanding the complexities of commercial property.

After growing up in Camden, and then sailing around the world (from North to South - Hudsons Bay to Cape Horn), Bennett says this is the place to be. Maine people are pleasant and the way of life here is less hectic. "In this particular area of Maine, there's a more cosmopolitan feel," he says, "and a lot more cultural activity than other areas. I love all the recreational opportunities of the areas sailing, mountains, lakes and ocean. Plus, it's a great place to raise children, to come to retire, or just relax and be happy."

Bennett specializes in mid-coast property, buyer's agent, farm, lake, river, village and waterfront transactions.
