Yarmouth is a town in Cumberland County, Maine, United States, located 10 miles north of the state's largest city, Portland. The town is situated along the Royal River, which empties into Casco Bay. As of the 2010 census, the town's population was 8,349.
Yarmouth has a rich history dating back to the 17th century when the area was first settled by Europeans. The town was originally known for its shipbuilding and fishing industries but has since diversified to include manufacturing and agriculture.
