Bath, Maine is a small town located in Sagadahoc County, on the Kennebec River. It is known for its shipbuilding heritage, and is home to Bath Iron Works, one of the biggest shipyards in the United States. The town has a population of around 8,300 people and features a historic downtown district with many shops, restaurants, and historic buildings. There are also several parks and outdoor recreation opportunities, including hiking trails and beaches. Bath is also home to the Maine Maritime Museum, which features exhibits on the town's shipbuilding history as well as a collection of historic ships.
