Kathy Pecar Lightbody is a 1984 graduate of Mancelona High School, who returned to Northern Michigan in 2020 after 35 years in metro Detroit.

Kathy has 35+ years of sales, marketing and event-planning experience at Pecar Electronics, Crain Communications Automotive News, and as chairman of the non-profit EyesOn Design Automotive Design Exhibition.

Kathys passion for real estate has grown through the ownership and management of numerous multi-family homes in Grosse Pointe, a 28-unit apartment building in midtown Detroit, and a vacation rental property at Shanty Creek Resort in northern Michigan.

Kathy lives full-time in Mancelona with her husband Andrew, an EMT and veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and Coast Guard. Their son Connor works at Sharpe BMW in Grand Rapids.

Kathy is President of the Mancelona Rotary Club, and is on the boards of the Meadow Brook Foundation. She is also an avid volunteer at the Mancelona Buck Pole, the White Pine Stampede, and the Iron Vault free store for students at Mancelona High School. She is a nature-enthusiast, animal-lover and is in the process of restoring a 1966 vintage camper for future outings.

Kathy and Andrew are truly enjoying this chapter of life in Northern Michigan, and both love showing the beauty of up north to the many friends and connections made during their time downstate.
