"EDUCATED EXPERIENCE" has been Tonya's professional motto for most of her real estate career. Tonya I. Teter-Hans has lived in the Edwardsburg area since 1975 and graduated magna cum laude from Bethel College earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Business. She began her real estate career as a secretary/ closing processor for her family owned real estate company Teter Realty Inc. While still in college she obtained her Realtor Associate license, and soon became Rookie of the Year! Understanding the importance of education...she achieved her GRI designation in Real Estate shortly thereafter. Tonya has won numerous awards in real estate, both from the companies she worked for, as well as, the Southwestern Michigan Board of Realtors. She was a multiple winner of the following coveted awards: " Listing Agent of the Year", "Salesperson of the Year" and "Most Improved Agent of the Year Award", and received the Educational Achievement Award for her academic achievements. Tonya later became licensed as a Broker in 1991 and furthered her knowledge by achieving her ABR & later IFA designation in Real Estate Appraising. As a Real Estate Educator for 15 years, Tonya taught Basic Training for new agents joining the business and taught Pre-licensing courses in Real Estate at Southwestern Michigan College. She also volunteered with the Cass County local 4-H Horse Clubs as an Ass't Leader for nearly 25 years, and Co-Chaired and/or had a seat on the Board of the Miss Edwardsburg Pageant for nearly 15 years. Tonya feels that giving back to her local communities is her small way of saying "Thank you and God Bless", for its confidence in her these past 25+ years.
