My Team and I bring more than 32+ years of full time experience to Re/Max Bayshore. I spent 17 years as an independent broker before joining an international Brokerage and I enjoy helping my clients understand the market, locate financing, find a property, negotiate a great deal and sit with them right through to the closing. You may ask yourself why I sound so passionate about this business. Well its quite simple I literally grew up in the business (as the son of a Real Estate Developer) and real estate is in my blood.

Ive called Traverse City my home since 1991 and have expertise in Residential Real Estate, Land Development, Condominiums, Water Front Properties, Foreclosures, Short Sales and New Construction. I am a former General Contractor, former Michigan Real Estate Appraiser (Valuation specialist) and have a degree in Marketing and Management.

I am a current member and former Chairman of the Traverse Area Association of Realtors (TAAR) MLS Committee which oversees the operation and implementation of the Multiple Listing Service; I am a former member of the TAAR Board of Directors, and former member and chairman of the TAAR Forms Committee.

In addition, I have earned the following designations and certifications from the National Association of Realtors including CRS, ABR, SFR, RENE, PSA, SRES, SRS, RSPS, Green and ePro.

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation. This coveted designation is awarded to real estate practitioners by the Real Estate BUYERS AGENT Council (REBAC) of the National Association of REALTORS who meets the specified educational and practical experience criteria. NARs Green Designation is the only NAR-recognized real estate designation designed for residential, commercial and property management professionals looking to learn about issues of energy efficiency and sustainability in the various facets of real estate.

I am an e-PRO is a REALTOR who has successfully completed the e-PRO training program for real estate professionals. Endorsed by the National Association of REALTORS, the e-PRO course teaches professionals the nuts and bolts of working with real estate on-line: Web sites, e-mail, on-line tools, and most of all, what todays consumer really wants.

There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work. That said, in my experience as a Traverse City real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs. This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently.
