Shelley Kemmerling has been living in Mt Pleasant for over 30 years. She and her husband bought their first house in 1987 from Mt Pleasant Realty. Shelley grew up in Clare learning to importance of hard work and commitment from her mother and father who owned a dairy farm. Shelley has always enjoyed working for a family oriented business that places a lot of importance on the value of customer service.
Shelley recently spent three years as food and beverage manager for Mt Pleasant Country Club. Prior to that, she spent 24 years working for The Embers Restaurant, which was known all over the state for its dedication to customer service. It was during that time that she met her husband and started her family. She loves living in Mt Pleasant where she and her husband are raising their two sons. She feels that Mt Pleasant and the surrounding Mid-Michigan area has a lot to offer. Her husband loves to golf, hunt and fish and both her sons are involved in music and performing arts. Shelley enjoys volunteering at the local high school, reading and vacationing with friends and family, usually near a beach.
Shelley studied business at Central Michigan University; she is a graduate of the Raleigh Denison Leadership Institute.
She received the Rising Star Award from her peers in 2017 and the Distinguished Service Award in 2021
She served on and chaired the Education Committee for 6 years
She was a member of the Board of Directors for 6 years and Served as President in 2021.
She is serving her third year on the Bylaws Committee. Outside of Real Estate:
She was on the advisory board for Big Brothers Big Sisters for Isabella County.
She served as treasurer for the Vocal Music Boosters Organization for 3 years.
She chose Coldwell Banker based on the way she was treated when she bought her first home and later sold that house. She feels she has once again found a place that feels like family.
Shelley specializes in first time home buyers and residential transactions.
