Montrose is a small village in Michigan with a population of around 1,800 people. Its original name was Pewonagowink, and it was initially settled by the Ojibway tribe before becoming a fur trading post in the early 19th century. Today, Montrose offers a quaint downtown area, a historic district, and several parks for outdoor recreation. The village is perhaps best known for its annual Montrose Blueberry Festival, a three-day celebration of blueberries and community that takes place in August.
