Statement of Values
My life in Traverse City is rooted in a strong commitment to this community. That is something I have strived to put into practice every day for the past 34 years, first as a builder, now as a professional realtor and as a volunteer supporter of this unique town.

Throughout this time, its been my goal to establish a reputation as a person of honesty and dependability someone whom my colleagues, customers, friends and the community at large can rely upon. That requires hard work, attention to detail and, perhaps more than anything else, the ability to communicate clearly and respectfully.

Realtor
As a realtor, I keep these underlying principles in mind by keeping clients updated on their propertys activity and current market conditions. As in all human endeavors, communication is critical to success. By putting this approach into practice, I have been a top agent the entire time I have been at Century 21 Northland, where I have received the Centurion Award (top sales) and the Quality Service (based on clients opinions) and the Presidents Award which honors both outstanding sales and service combined.

Builder
As a builder, I have extensive experience in all aspects of home construction. Before beginning my career in real estate, I was part owner of Mission Bay Construction, where I was involved in the design and finish details of home construction. Our homes won several Peoples Choice Awards and multiple craftsmanship and design awards.

Over the years, I have been involved in staging many model homes. I have a strong passion for remodeling and enjoy taking an unappreciated property and turning it into something quite special. I am fortunate to have the ability to see a property and to be able to visualize its potential.

In addition, Mission Bay was a full-service excavation contractor involved in the construction of many large private and municipal facilities in the region.

I was directly involved in five residential developments from inception through permitting, design and marketing phases

In addition, I have 35-plus years of business finance and management experience. Since graduating college, I have been the Controller/Financial Officer of several corporations.

Volunteer
In terms of giving back to the community, I served on the YMCA Board for the past nine years. During that period, we raised funds to build the wonderful new Y. I served on the construction oversight committee for that project. Due to term limits, I exited the YMCA board in 2017.

Fortunately, I was invited in the fall of 2017 to serve on the board of Habitat for Humanity, Grand Traverse Region. I am very excited to be part of the wonderful non-profit organization. For 29 years, Habitat for Humanity, Grand Traverse Region has helped to improve the lives of over 100 families.

In addition, I have been a member of the Home Builders Association and served on the Parade of Homes committee. I chaired that event for two years.
