Kasota is a small village located in Le Sueur County, Minnesota, United States. According to the 2010 census, the population of Kasota was 675. The village is situated on the Minnesota River and is located approximately 10 miles south of the city of St. Peter.

The village of Kasota has a long history, dating back to the mid-1800s. The area was originally inhabited by the Dakota people, followed by French and English fur traders. In 1854, the Kasota Township was established by the Minnesota Territorial Legislature. The village itself was founded in 1870.

Kasota is primarily a residential community but has a few small businesses and services available, including a post office, gas station, and convenience store. The village is also home to a park with a playground and picnic area, as well as a boat launch for recreational water activities.

Kasota is surrounded by agricultural land and is known for its scenic beauty, especially along the Minnesota River.
