Stevens County is located in the western part of Minnesota. According to the 2010 United States Census, the population of Stevens County was 9,726. Of this population, 97.7% was White, 0.2% was African American, 1.0% was Native American, 0.3% was Asian, 0.1% was Pacific Islander, and 0.7% from two or more races. The median household income for Stevens County was $43,958 and the median income for a family was $51,781.
The living conditions in Stevens County are generally rural and agricultural in nature. The county has a total area of 797 square miles and is home to many lakes and rivers as well as numerous parks and recreational areas.
