Tyler Mahoney is the newest addition to the EXP Realty LLC team and a new, full-time resident of Clinton, MO as of October 2021. He hails from Lees Summit, MO originally, and most recently, Joplin, MO. But, his roots have run deep in the Clinton and Warsaw areas for the last 20 years.
His family has owned various recreational hunting and fishing properties in the area during that time. So, for most of his life, he has spent the majority of his weekends in the woods and waters around Truman Lake.
His wife, Sami, is a dentist and works at Compass Health Network in town. Together they hope to open her very own practice one day here in Clinton. Tyler has been a full-time salesperson and manager in the medical sales industry for 7 years where he has led teams covering Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Oklahoma, and Arkansas. Hes certainly no stranger to windshield time.
During that span, he has worked to develop a side hustle based around his passion for hunting and fishing. What started as writing the weekly hunting and fishing report column for the Kansas City Star between 2018-2021 turned into something much more. In mid-2020, he founded trumanlakefishingintelwww, which allows members to gain access to exclusive fishing reports and videos from the lake expert guides and tournament anglers. In its first year and a half, the membership has grown to nearly 2,000 people with many more visitors coming to the site annually. He manages several websites including trumanlakefishingintelwww, mahoneyoutdoorswww, and lsareafishingwww, along with multiple social media pages and groups.
While hunting and fishing are major passions for Tyler, so is land management and conservation. Ultimately, that drove his interest towards real estate with a focus in helping others find their own once-in-a-lifetime recreational properties and homes away from the city.
Growing up and coming to Clinton and Warsaw since I can remember has been very special to me with lots of unforgettable memories shared with family and friends. This area is very unique with so many diverse opportunities for outdoor recreation without sacrificing the comforts of being able to run into town to grab a bite to eat or pick up some groceries. I look forward to helping as many people as I can to find their own slice of Missouri heaven in our area whether its in town or down a gravel road out in the country.
During my time as a sales rep and manager in the medical industry, there are two primary things I have learned that have helped me find success: communicate often and do what you say you will do. Im excited to apply those practices with my clients at EXP Realty LLC!
