Donna Taft grew up in a large family and learned two important things that have shaped how she has lived her life. She learned the lessons of how hard work would take you where you never imagined you could go and the lessons of how important family is in your life. Her family did not have much, so Donna at a young age baby sat, cleaned houses and other odd jobs to buy clothes and other things her mom could not afford to buy. Today the lessons learned while growing up still are the basis for how she lives. Growing up in California, and working hard as a sales representative for General Mills, and McCormick Shilling Spices she found long days and travel helped her have the standard of living she enjoyed. Even back then she found that truly meeting her buyers needs was a very satisfying experience. However, it didnt give her time with her family that she felt she wanted and that was important to her. This is where Donnas love for real estate began to grow. For many years friends, family and acquaintances would call her to negotiate their homes and car, because she was a natural at putting winning deals together. . With three boys and a close relationship with her husband, they began to search what their life could be like living somewhere else. While on a family road trip to watch their youngest son compete at the motocross races in Galena, they fell in love with the lifestyle and beautiful scenery that are such a special part of this area. After a second trip to the area they went home, put their house up for sale and moved here in January of 2005. In those experiences of moving the seeds of her real estate career continued to flourish. She decided she loved this area, loved helping Springfield area families with moving and felt that the hard work was something she found fulfilling. Today her greatest joy is to help a family navigate through the many twists and turns of buying or selling a home. She loves to provide a level of service that cause her clients to relax knowing that she will take care of all their needs and successfully complete the transaction.
