Warsaw is a small town located in Benton County, Missouri, United States. The town is situated on the Osage River and has a population of about 2,000 people.
The town was founded in 1837 and named after the capital of Poland. Warsaw was a major stop on the Osage River during the steamboat era when steamboats carried people and goods up and down the river.
Today, Warsaw is a popular tourist destination with a charming downtown area featuring antique shops, art galleries, cafes, and restaurants. The town is also known for its outdoor activities, including fishing, hunting, and camping in the nearby Truman Lake and Lake of the Ozarks.
Warsaw is also home to several historic sites, including the Downtown Warsaw Historic District, the Benton County Courthouse, and the Drake Harbor Recreation Area, which offers a boat launch, camping sites, and hiking trails.
