Moorhead, Mississippi is a small village with a population of less than 2,000 people. It is home to Mississippi Delta Community College and has a strong agricultural history, with cotton and soybean farming being major industries in the area. The village was named after William Moorhead, a prominent early settler in the region, and was officially incorporated in 1900. Moorhead is also home to a number of historic sites and buildings, including the Moorhead United Methodist Church, which was built in 1892.
